Freely transferable via the official ticket providerOutside Lands 2026 dates, location and stages
Outside Lands 2026 runs Friday 7 August to Sunday 9 August at Golden Gate Park, San Francisco — the same eastern-half site used since the festival launched in 2008. Gates open mid-morning each day; music typically runs from around noon to 10pm.
Seven stages spread across the Polo Field, Hellman Hollow, Lindley Meadow, the Sutro stage, Marx Meadow, the Twin Peaks dance stage and the Panhandle. Headliners take the Lands End main stage on the Polo Field. The festival typically lays out around 200,000 attendees across the weekend.
Beyond the music, expect the famous Wine Lands (top California vintners), Beer Lands (Bay Area craft brewers), Cocktail Magic, Grass Lands (cannabis lounge), Eco Lands and Choco Lands — the festival's food and beverage curation is genuinely best-in-class compared to any other US festival.
Outside Lands 2026 lineup and daily splits
The 2026 headliner roster: Charli XCX, Rufus Du Sol, The Strokes, The XX, Baby Keem, Turnstile, Djo, Labrinth, Empire of the Sun, and Dijon. Daily lineups have been announced — buy single-day tickets only if you've matched the day to the artists you want to see most.
Outside Lands historically books deep across genres: alongside the marquee names you'll find indie rock, R&B, hip-hop, electronic, hyperpop, jazz fusion and Latin acts across the smaller stages. The Sutro and Panhandle stages routinely deliver the year's best surprise sets.
Outside Lands 2026 ticket prices (all in, fees included)
Outside Lands publishes all-in pricing (face value + fees) on the official site. Here's the structure for 2026:
- •3-Day GA: starts around $549 all-in (when available)
- •3-Day GA+: starts around $799 all-in (early entry, dedicated viewing areas, premium restrooms)
- •3-Day VIP: starts around $1,499 all-in (VIP-only viewing, private bars, premium F&B)
- •3-Day Golden Gate Club: starts from $5,299 all-in (climate-controlled lounge, full meals, top-tier restrooms, all-access)
- •Single Day GA: from $249 / GA+ from $375 / VIP from $599 / Golden Gate Club from $2,369
How to buy Outside Lands 2026 tickets — primary vs resale
The official primary seller is Front Gate Tickets (linked from sfoutsidelands.com). When the festival sells out in the primary market — as 2026 mostly already has — your remaining legitimate options are:
- •Front Gate's official waitlist / future drops — sporadic, no guarantee
- •Ticketmaster Verified Resale — the official secondary channel, often expensive (the seller sets the price; both buyer and seller pay fees)
- •TicketHunter — verified fan-to-fan resale with transparent all-in pricing, AI listing checks, secure transfer, and 0% seller fees (buyer pays the platform fee). Watchlist alerts so you don't miss new listings.
- •Don't risk Craigslist, random Reddit DMs or grey-market QR-code photos — Outside Lands enforces wristband checks at the gate and a screenshot ticket from a stranger is the #1 way to get turned away.
Single day vs 3-day passes — what's actually worth it
Single-day tickets unlock from January 2026. They're a good fit if (a) you live in the Bay Area and don't want the full weekend grind, (b) your favourite artists all play one day, or (c) the 3-day passes have sold out at your budget.
Watch out: single-day price is roughly $249 GA × 3 = $747 vs $549 for 3-day GA — single-day is significantly more expensive per day. The 3-day is the value play if you can do the full weekend.
Saturday and Sunday usually have the strongest lineups; Friday gates open later so day-trippers from the Peninsula and East Bay can get over after work.
GA, GA+, VIP, Golden Gate Club — what each tier actually buys you
Outside Lands tiers up significantly more than most US festivals. Here's what's actually different at each level:
- •GA — full festival access, all stages, all food and beverage. Standard portable toilets. The cheapest and most fun if you don't mind queueing for restrooms at peak times.
- •GA+ — adds early entry (15 minutes before GA gates), one private GA+ viewing area at the Lands End / Twin Peaks main stages, and significantly nicer restrooms. Best upgrade if you've ever cursed at a peak-time queue.
- •VIP — dedicated viewing areas at all major stages, VIP lounges with premium bars, complimentary water, and a separate entry lane. Worth it if you're going for two-plus days.
- •Golden Gate Club — climate-controlled clubhouse on the Polo Field with full sit-down meals, complimentary all-day drinks, all-access stage viewing, valet, concierge. Hospitality tier — usually $5k+ per person for the weekend.
Cheapest legitimate routes to Outside Lands 2026 tickets
Here are the actual ways to spend less on an Outside Lands 2026 ticket without falling into a scam:
- •TicketHunter fan-to-fan resale — sellers who can no longer attend list at face value or slightly above. We show you face value alongside the asking price, so you know whether you're paying fair. Filter to GA-only for the lowest prices.
- •Volunteer with a partner organisation — every year Outside Lands works with local non-profits (e.g. food, accessibility, environmental) that get free passes in exchange for ~6-hour shifts. Applications open in May–June 2026 on the festival's volunteer page.
- •Single-day tickets for the day with your favourite headliners — only if your wishlist artists actually fall on one day. Otherwise the 3-day is cheaper per day.
- •Watch for late drops — sometimes the festival releases a small wave of returned tickets in July or early August. Set a TicketHunter watchlist and we'll email the moment we see a listing.
- •Avoid hidden-fee resellers — TicketHunter shows the all-in price (ticket + fee) before you click buy. Some platforms quote the ticket price and add 20–30% at checkout.
What to do if Outside Lands 2026 is sold out
Most 3-day tiers sold out in the December presale. Here's the realistic playbook:
- •Sign in to TicketHunter and join the Outside Lands 2026 watchlist on this page — we email you the moment a verified fan lists tickets within your max budget.
- •Check the official Front Gate Tickets page weekly — sporadic drops happen as registrations expire or sponsor allocations release.
- •Consider Golden Gate Club hospitality — that tier rarely sells out and has a steady supply through July.
- •Have a backup festival in mind — Lollapalooza Chicago (early August), Hardly Strictly Bluegrass (early October, same park, free), Portola SF (Sept).
Getting to Golden Gate Park
Outside Lands strongly discourages driving — Golden Gate Park has minimal parking and traffic gridlocks for blocks during peak entry. The official advice is to use Muni, BART (transfer at Civic Center to the 5 or 7), or rideshare drop-off zones outside the park perimeter.
Best practical approach: take Muni or BART to the Inner Sunset, Inner Richmond or Civic Center, then walk or grab a quick ride to the entry gates at Lincoln Way / Stanyan / Fulton.
Bike valet is excellent — the festival runs a free secure bike-corral at the south-east gate. Folding bikes and scooters welcome.
Bring vs leave at home — practical info
Outside Lands runs a fairly strict bag and item policy. Here's the short version (always confirm with the festival's official info page before you go):
- •Bring: ID (mandatory for 21+ areas), empty refillable water bottle, sunscreen, layers (San Francisco summers are cold — bring a jacket, especially after sunset), a small backpack (clear or non-clear, under festival size limit).
- •Allowed: low chairs, small blankets, hand-held cameras (no detachable lenses), portable battery packs.
- •Leave at home: outside food and drink (except sealed water), large bags, drones, professional cameras, glass containers, umbrellas, marker pens.
- •Cannabis area (Grass Lands) — 21+ with valid ID. Cannabis cannot be brought in or out; only consumed in Grass Lands.
- •Wristbands — fitted at the gate on day one and stay on for the whole weekend. Don't lose or cut yours; replacement costs and ID verification slows down re-entry.
